APR Boot Camp – Registration Deadline Extended to Monday, October 10, 2011
The James B. Henry Center for Executive Development at Michigan State University is described as an unparalleled environment for executive education and corporate learning that rivals the best in the world.
What better venue to earn your Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential?
The next APR Boot Camp, held in conjunction with PRSA’s Michigan Chapter, will take place at the Henry Center on Nov. 9–12.
APR Boot Camp is a four-day intensive program designed to help you gain a recommendation to be Advanced through the final phases of the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) process.
Day one features a review of the public relations knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) assessed by the Readiness Review. That same day, candidates then have the opportunity to present to a Readiness Review panel.
Days two and three concentrate on preparation for the computer-based Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations. In addition to a tutorial on what to expect, the sessions offer further review of the KSAs and how the Examination is framed around them.
On the fourth and final day, candidates who receive an Advance recommendation from their Readiness Review panel can sit for the Examination.
Take note, APR Boot Camp is a concentrated program, but it is not a shortcut. Thorough preparation is key to success.
As noted on the Henry Center’s website, it was the dream of former MSU business school dean James Henry to create a place where ideas, talent and experience come together to energize careers.
Register for the next APR Boot Camp at the Henry Center … and energize your career.
