First Conference Reflections

PRSA International Conference Photo Montage: Get a glimpse of past PRSA International Conferences, in Detroit, San Diego and Washington, D.C.

Having recently graduated from Northeastern University, I was excited when I was asked to attend the 2011 International Conference in Orlando, Fla. I have done internships in the past and gone to a few client events, but the idea of working at a PRSA event with hundreds of PR pros is exciting. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to network with top professionals from all over the world at the opening night party and even luckier to get to hear keynoters and sessions presenters speak.

In particular, I am looking forward to Chris Brogan’s session, “The Changing Role of the Trust Agent.” Brogan is well known for his knowledge and understanding of the digital world. I am equally as excited to hear the panel discussion regarding social media policies. As the world becomes more “social,” I think developing my understanding of digital media will be valuable. Which sessions are all of you most excited about?

Below is a video with highlights from the last three Conferences in Washington, D.C., San Diego and Detroit. Take a look and get a heads up on what to expect when you attend this year’s Conference, Oct. 15–18, in Orlando, Fla.

Why are you attending the Conference? Will this be your first Conference? What are you hoping to learn?
